Yes. The idea is great. Tracking the movements of vehicles so that no child trafficking slips through the cracks. It's another layer of public accountability in our rapidly expanding world.
"Flock can instantly map the location of a vehicle used for kidnapping a child, helping an estimated 10,000 missing person cases per year." To someone like me, this is a no brainer, obviously use this system. It's also a no brainer that this system (or something better) needs to be held fully in the hands of trustworthy people and maybe needs to be open source, because exploitation is not just kidnapping, it is also stealing people's data and controlling them forever.
We need to not discredit solutions for abuse through overemphasizing one single value (privacy) - because both matter. Both things matter. In my mind, there's a hierarchy - and these extreme cases of child exploitation are at the top, and so I come at it from that perspective. To me, preventing potential cases of terrifying abuse of children is more important than not living in a mostly surveillance state, if those 2 things are actually what Flock is/does.
This is a great example of why an exploitation-educated population could collectively discover the law rather than it being imposed on them by tyrants - which also reflects how beaurocracy alone will not end CE.
Still though - Tear town every camera tower, and bring every tyrant to answer for their crimes, and let's redesign the world to save children.
We have the smartest fucking people ever on our side (anti exploitation) - you think we can't find a solution that's balanced??
